World Diabetes Day - Tips to Overcome Type 2 Diabetes

World Diabetes Day is observed annually on 14th of November every year by International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The main aim of this awareness day is to create public awareness of the causes, prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment of diabetes.

This year, the theme for 2018 is “The Family and Diabetes”

Diabetes concerns every family

Over 425 million people are currently living with diabetes.1 in 2 people currently living with diabetes are unaware, most of these cases are Type 2 Diabetes, which is largely preventable through regular physical activity, a healthy and a balanced diet along with the promotion of healthy living environment.
